Your Local Guide to Warren, Maine

Warren is a great town with easy accessibility for those looking to live outside of towns like Rockland. Andes Variety on Route 1 is where half the town stops for gas and incredible pizza. Lincoln's Country Store handles the grocery runs, Warren True Value covers everything else. Got kids in sports? The Pitch has indoor turf year round for soccer, lacrosse, batting practice, and is home to DSA United Soccer Club. The town carries a lot of history too, and the Warren Historical Society has done a real job of holding onto it. They keep the Dr. Campbell House on Main Street open as a museum, and it's worth checking out if you want to learn more about the town's past. Warren also has a beautiful area in Payson Park, just off Route 90 near the village, with a playground and picnic tables near the entrance and a trail that follows the St. George River down to the rapids, passing the remains of a lock and canal system built back in 1793. If you want to see the whole town come out at once, that's Warren Day. Every June, the town hosts a parade and a full day of activities for families and visitors. Warren's also just an easy spot to commute from, sitting right where Route 90 splits off from Route 1, which is handy for getting around the Midcoast.
